The new AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4 is a seriously smart way to shoot telephoto without carrying heavy gear. Use of a Phase Fresnel (PF) lens element keeps the body remarkably compact and lightweight without degrading image quality. The Nikon 85mm f1.8 is a fast aperture medium-telephoto prime FX lens. DX Format
DX is a lens designed exclusively for their APS-C sensored DSLRs, but can be used on their full frame cameras like 35 mm SLRs and full frame digital SLRs like the D3 series and D700 DSLRs.
